Catalog #20 - SUSQUEHANNA 2000-2003
Since my last Susquehanna video release at the end of 1999, I have continued to keep an eye on the Susquehanna here in Northern New Jersey. I have now put together another 2-hour volume of footage shot primarily on the Southern Division between October 2000 and September 2003.
This video focuses on NYS&W and CSX freights on the Southern Division and on the ex-Erie Southern Tier. Other Southern Division highlights include a 1999 Santa Claus special at Newfoundland, the September 2000 NARCOA speeder car outing, Fall foliage and Butler Centennial steam excursions, a brief appearance of the #91 Russell snow plow, and the first NYS&W SD40T-2 "Tunnel Motor" to wear "Yellow Jacket" paint.
Other railroading action includes a Norfolk Southern coal train on the old Bel-Del up to the PPL plant at Martins Creek, the November 2000 CNJ HS LNE Photographer's Special on the Wanamaker, Kempton & Southern, the July 2002 Middletown & New Jersey picnic caboose hop, and a Norfolk Southern 40T detour train on the old Lackawanna main through the Pocono's.
